Dane looked around his classroom with pride. It wasn't that it was extremely fancy or anything, because it wasn't, but it was because it was his. Never in a million years did he think he would be a teacher, and certainly not the dueling professor. He wasn't incompetent, by any means. He just didn't seem to himself to be the teaching type.
Shaking the thoughts out of his head, Dane decided to make one more round of the large room and make sure everything was in place. A flick of his wand brought down a large, rectangular platform from its place up against the wall, which was then climbed up on by the younger Carnahan. He had already cast the appropriate spells on it so it wouldn't be damaged by any of the spells the students used against it. After he had jumped down, the platform was returned to its former position and Dane made his way to the left wall.
Dummies were waiting for him, each carved into the rough shape of a human body. That was where the similarities ended, though, for the puppets were faceless and made of wood. Dane ran a hand over the smoothed wood, wondering just what spell would cause the demise of this particular dummy. Would it be a jinx? Maybe a hex would do it. Either way, at least it would help aid in the training of his students.
