This is pointless... Cho thought to herself as she stepped inside the shop. Cho didn't have an owl, nor did she really want one. She was here because her mum wouldn't stop pestering her about getting one. Her mum thought it'd be less time consuming if Cho had her own instead of always stopping by the post office to check for mail and to send it. The thing her mother never understood was Cho didn't mind that. She didn't want an owl, after having her own which had passed away not to long ago.
Cho walked further inside, sighing quietly as she did so. The first thing that she saw was a small owl, similar to the one she use to have. The owl's gaze met her own and Cho started walking again. The reason she didn't want one wasn't because she didn't like owls, she actually loved them. She just didn't want to have to deal with getting close to an owl and then having it pass away. It wasn't so much that, but just what the death of an owl would represent; that eventually if she doesn't die first she'll continuously lose those closest to her. Just like Cedric.
After walking through part of the shop Cho sighed heavily and leaned against an empty wall. She looked around to see if anyone was there or not, glad to see that there wasn't. Slowly Cho allowed herself to feel all the overwhelming emotions she had been trying to keep inside and hidden for a while now. Her eyes began to well with tears, which she made sure didn't fall down her cheeks, and she slowly sank to the floor with another small sigh.

Destiny walked into the shop has she is looking around looking at the owls. She found one she liked. She went to the counter and paid for the owl. SHe then grabbed the owl and saw Cho. She walked over to her and said "Cho are you alright." as she sat down with her.

Once Cho was on the ground she pulled her knees up to her chest, then wrapping her arms around them. She continued to try not to let her eyes get too watery, not wanting to start crying again. She had cried too much lately. She was just relieved that when she did it was usually at her own home where no one could see her. And that was something she didn't want to go and ruin now by crying. Cho slowly closed her eyes and opened them again once she heard someone ask her a question.
Instinctively she brought a hand up to her face to make sure that no tears had fallen and smiled slightly when she saw none had. She looked over at the girl and recognized her as a third year Hufflepuff, or at least she was when Cho was still at Hogwarts. Even though she knew the girl's face she couldn't quite place the name. Deciding she'd figure that out soon enough, Cho nodded in regards to her question. "I'm fine." She answer, putting on a small smile.

Cho smiled a little more then nodded slightly. She had known her year and house, but couldn't figure out the name. She was glad that she didn't have to try to figure it out any longer. When she was upset, Cho usually had a hard time recalling information she already knew. Or just trying to think of something simple, like a person's name. She also had that problem when flustered.
"How do you like your fourth year so far?" She asked remembering that the new term had just started. For her it still felt weird not being a Hogwarts student anymore. After going for seven years it was just something one got quite use to. She knew she'd get use to all of this, not being in school, soon enough. But for now it was strange.

"It's OK I guess." she siad as she looked at Cho and then looked at her new Owl. She then begin to giggle some as she sorta has a crush on someone but doesn't want to say it to Cho.

Cho didn't say anything else but looked over at her curiously. It was obvious there was something she wasn't saying, but Cho wasn't one to push those kind of things. Especially when she didn't know someone all that well, like Destiny. She knew she wasn't going to ask about it, but she still was very curious. She probably would've been able to figure it out, or part of it out, if her mind hadn't been so cluttered with all of her other thoughts.
Cho looked down at the ground and wondered if she would need to buy an owl, or if just looking would be enough for her mum. She guessed it probably wouldn't have been but she could give that a try. Cho knew she couldn't explain her own reasoning to her mum about why she wouldn't get an owl because it would seem silly. Then again she was sure that her reasoning would seem silly to almost anyone else.

Destiny looked at her and smiled as she looked at her owl. As she continued to look around the shop.

After a few minutes of silence Cho slowly stood up then turned to Destiny. "I should probably start looking for an owl... again." She explained quietly, feeling like if she spoke any louder her voice might crack. Cho quietly cleared her throat to rid herself of that feeling as she looked at Destiny. She gave her a small smile then turned to look around the room.
Cho knew that looking probably wouldn't trigger a set of tears, but she really didn't know where to start. She didn't know what type of owl to get or anything like that. She thought about that for a moment as she continued to look around.
