It was a somewhat sunny afternoon, the perfect day to just relax and go for a walk, at least for Cho it was. Especially since it was a Saturday and her only day off this week. She didn't mind working as much as she had lately, except Saturdays. The pub was always busy and it was the time when it was also the loudest. She didn't always mind the noise, sometimes it was a pleasant way to drown out one's thoughts, but while working it was just annoying.
Cho smiled to herself as she continued walking. For the past few days she hated been in the best mood. Her trip to the owl emporium had brought back memories of Cedric. They were great memories but at the same time awful because it hurt too much to think of them. Even though it had been three years now Cho was still far from over it. She figured that no one really got over that kind of loss, it was something she was quite sure of.
Although she hadn't been in the best mood lately, today her mood had changed. She knew it was mainly due to actually having a day off now. Cho slowed down her pace and looked at all the different store fronts, not sure if she wanted to go inside one. Even though she was glad to be doing this she knew that because it was a Saturday the shops were bound to be busy. And even though her mood had became somewhat brighter she still knew that if she saw something that reminded her too much of Cedric she might start crying again.
After a few moments Cho decided that she would take the chance and go inside one of the stores. She figured she might as well, instead of just continuously walking around. She decided to go into Madame Malkin's Robes. It seemed a safe enough shop, that was until she got inside. Cho sighed quietly to herself as she saw a pile of scarves lying on a near by table. She remembered that Cedric had given her a scarf just like that, exactly like those ones. As soon as she came to that realization Cho turned to leave and bumped into someone. "Sorry." She apologized quietly, not looking up from the ground to see who it was.

She, just like the rest of her family, had came to Diagon Alley for back to school shopping. The trip was the same every year. Ron, Harry, and Hermione, would all go off together, while Ginny would be sent off by herself to gather her own supplies. She didn't mind this, since she'd gotten used to it by now, but she still wished for someone to share the time with.
She had a few bags in her hand from the store she had already been too. Actually she had been everywhere except to Malkins Robes, something she was desperately in need for. Ginny had hit a bit of a growth spurt over the summer, and new robes were in order. She crossed the street of busy students shopping to get everything done, and then walked through the door.
Everything was how she remembered it, except for the new scarfs, and hats that were set in the front for shopping pleasure. She headed toward them, only to feel herself being knocked back. As she fell to the ground, she heard a familiar voice. Chewing her lip softly she looked up and noted it was the girl she thought it was.
Smiling weakly at the older girl she shook her head, "No no, it was my own fault, I really wasn't watching where I was going." she said softly. It wasn't like Ginny to be this polite to the girl that had been some what of a rival. As she stood up off the ground, she flattened out her muggle jeans and top. Then did something she never thought she would do to Cho, and that was offer her a hand up.

Cho only looked up when she heard the somewhat familiar voice of Ginny Weasley, at least that was who she thought it was. And when she did look up completely she found out she was right. Cho didn't say anything else but was taken aback when Ginny offered her a hand up. Cho took her hand and stood up, taking a small step back once she was standing again. She looked down toward the ground again and saw a couple bags, ones she had knocked out of Ginny's hands when accidentally bumping into her. Cho then bent over and picked the one nearest to her up, holding it out for Ginny to take.
She hadn't expected Ginny to be somewhat nice to her or even polite in anyway. She knew that Ginny had never liked her much, seeing as Cho dated Harry and Ginny had liked him for years. That wasn't something Cho had known until after her and Harry split, but she doubted that would've effected her actions. It may have a little, but not completely. That was why she really didn't expect any politeness from Ginny, but was glad to have recieved it anyway. She hoped that maybe Ginny didn't dislike her so much now that Ginny was with or would soon be with Harry.
Cho glanced around the shop and held in a sigh as her gaze met the scarves again. She felt tears threatening to come out and quickly diverted her gaze back to Ginny. Cho knew that it was only a matter of time before she had to let this all out, and doing that was something she wanted to do in private. Away from anyone else's eyes especially Ginny's. Not being able to move yet Cho stood there a little awkward not sure what else to say to her. Cho wasn't good at talking to people she hadn't talked to often or with people who disliked her or use to.
Still feeling that her tears were going to come soon and probably fast Cho decided that maybe she shouldn't stay. Or at least she should go somewhere that she could be somewhat alone. "Well it was nice seeing you Ginny... I've got to go though." Cho turned to walk the opposite direction and bumped into a display of hats. "Bugger." She muttered under her breath as she bent down to pick them up, hiding her face as she did because, as she expected, the tears started to come freely.

Ginny stared at her hand in shock. The youngest Weasley wasn't sure why she had done it, but figured their past was best if it was put behind them. Why not live in the present. Reaching down for the other bags she placed a smile on her lips, and then moved toward the one in the graduated Ravie's hands. Sighing softly she brought her eyes to Cho's, "Thanks." Was the first words that left, then she took the bag.
She watched Cho glance nervously, Ginny's eyes moving around the room just as Cho's had. As the girl turned to leave Ginny watched as Cho knocked down the display of hats. A small giggle escaped her lips as the sixteen year old walked toward her and then bent down to help. She had a few in her hands, and let her bright brown eyes glance toward Cho. Though what she saw surprised Ginny the most.
She watched the tears fall freely from Cho's eyes. Dropping the hats on the ground she in some way pulled Cho up. The Gryffindor perfect wasn't sure what she should do beside speak. "Hey, hey, whats wrong?" she asked in a soothing voice. "Cho, hun I know we never got out on the right foot, but no matter what you can talk to me, you don't have to run when your hurt." she said, a bit fast but calm. Looking around the room she glared at a few starers before looking back toward the girl she had hated for selfish reasoning.

As Cho heard footsteps walking toward her she wiped a few tears away and kept her head down. It didn't matter who it was coming over she didn't want anyone to see her this way. She hated crying and hated doing it in front of other people. Especially after being known as somewhat of a 'cry baby'. Cho hated being called that, especially when no one knew why she was crying. Sure, people could guess as to why, but no one really knew how she felt. That wasn't something she talked about. Not even to her closest friends or family.
Cho heard Ginny start talking as she stood up. Even though she was standing Cho kept her face down, noticing a few hats in her hand. She placed the hats back on the table and wiped her face again. Hoping to get herself to calm down. Sometimes once her emotions caught up with her stopping was even harder then getting herself not to start crying. She sighed and looked up at Ginny, noticing her glaring at a few people who were watching them. "Thanks Ginny." She said quietly. It was nice of Ginny to make an offer like that but Cho wasn't sure how she felt about talking about how she was feeling, especially why she was crying.
Sharing her feelings wasn't something she did or liked doing. She hated it almost as much as she hated crying in public. Cho placed a small smile on her face before looking back over at Ginny. "It's alright... I'll be fine." That was the only thing Cho could really think to say right now. Saying she was fine was an obvious lie. Anyone who was fine wouldn't start crying in the middle of a store while picking up hats. So saying she would be wasn't a lie. She knew she would be, she just didn't know how long the feeling she had would take to subside. She hoped it wouldn't be too long this time.
