At first, it seemed like any other day. Fifty-one students boarded flight thirty-nine, which was bound for the Honolulu, Hawaii. Honolulu is home to the legendary, “Summer Oceanography and Research Camp” and it is this place that the place was headed for.
These teenagers were each different in respect to their social habits. Some were athletes, others cheerleaders, some singers, some serious students. Regardless of their differences, they were all bound for the same place. That was, until the plane began to move through a hazardous storm.
Everything seemed alright for the first few moments. Then, the plane lurched suddenly, due to turbulence. And then the final blow was dealt to the group of teenagers, no older than sixteen. A bolt of lightning struck the left engine.
Teens were thrown forward, out of their seats as the plane began to soar towards the water. The pilot desperately tried to coast the plane in horizontally, as to prevent a full, head-on crash.
A patch of earth was visible to the pilot and luckily he was able to soar into the beach. Teens were thrashed around; cut and brushed. Luggage was thrown everywhere, and the plane began to catch fire. Quickly, the teens scrambled from the plane and desperately tried to assist the pilot out of the plane. But something was wrong! The man was not moving, and blood was oozing out of his chest. Unfortunately, his injuries were too sever and was killed in the crash.
Now, fifty-one students are stranded on an island, someone between California and Hawaii with no way to contact the outside world, and with no adults. Will the students survive on their own? Or will their own quarrels tear them apart?
