::Long ago, the four winds brought upon the land the mightiest of beasts. Hidden away from human civilization they were expected to bring about the extinction of the terrible race. The gods walked away from that point, given only one of each a power. A Jaguar, and a Wolf. These were the two chosen to bless the others with more powers.
Wolves, and Felines alike, traveled, though, to the humans' side. Terrible things were undergone by them, and treacherous training. They were winded out of all that was precious in life, brought to believe that the only reason to live was to die - in battle. Still, many knew not what the humans had in store, nor that they had found power themselves. Unable to access more than a mere microscope of it, they would dip the strong, surviving ones within the spring in the mountains.
The journey there was rough, with dangers lurking around every corner. Within the smallest of corners could pop out a wild Feline....or Canine. They came to fear the wild beast, and would keep to their tribal groups. Safety in numbers, they bothered not the wild beasts, who attacked seldom, yet never forgot their promise to the gods of ridding the humans of the earth.
Now during these days there were but a few tribes of humans, but they held with them swords, long sharp objects, and powerful creatures that chose to work on their side. The wild felines were smart, as were the wolves, and waited for the right moments to strike.
The wolves and felines hated each other, too, and many a battle would pursue between pride and pack. Within the villages the raised, tame, ones would learn to work together, and thus gave humans an edge on the wilds. Working alone, the wilds were expected to end the humans - and even their own kind who turned against them.
Tames that had litters trained their kids to want nothing but the better for human life. The child's life was nothing but an empty shell sent to help protect the humans::
