Hidden in the heart of Southern France lies Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Students enter the school to learn how to control their magical powers which they were blessed with at birth.
Beauxbatons Academy of Magic was founded over 1000 years ago by three of the most noted wizards and witches in France and, strangely, one Centaur who they had befriended in the process of creating this historic school. The founders (Pierre Draconian, Odetta Cygnet, Mokey Brandeen and Kahn the Centaur) each created a house to which they could take students who posessed the qualities that they valued in those that they were now set to teach the magical art to. The four houses: Chambre De Centaure (Centaur House), Chambre De Singe (Monkey House), Chambre De Cygne (Swan House) and Chambre De Dragon (Dragon House) each value different traits in those who are sorted there.
Chambre De Centaure (founded by Kahn the Centaur) takes only those who are pureblooded (but sometimes the occasional halfblood). The students in this house are the proudest of all and, perhaps, the vainest students in the school as well. They refuse to work, or speak to, anyone that is not in their house and they will not form friendships outside the Centaur Common Room. If you're not a Centaur, you're not worth knowing. These students can be stubborn as well, something which means that they can't get things done as quickly or efficiently.
Chambre De Singe (founded by Miss. Mokey Brandeen) is a more accepting house. The students in this house are known for their intelligence and wit as well as their hardworking nature and ability to learn things faster than, what is considered to be, the normal rate. These students spend a lot of time in the library perfecting their assignments and are usually the ones to win awards for excellence. They are naturally competitive and can let that competitiveness get to their heads at times.
Chambre De Cygne (founded by Miss. Odetta Cygnet) is the peace maker of the school. The students in this house are well known for their kind and generous nature. The students in this house are hard working and, almost all the time, remain completely silent until all of their work is done. They are not the smartest students in the school but they are the ones who try the hardest. The students in this house tend to go into work that allows them to communicate with people because they are great listners. You will not find a pureblood in this house.
Chambre De Dragon (founded by Mr. Pierre Draconian) holds the closest thing to a dark wizard you will find in Beauxbatons. The students in this house are known for their bravery and their, sometimes unflattering, ambition. The students in this house are the closest thing to dark wizards that you will find in Beauxbatons, though many may become fully fledged dark wizards later in life. The students in this house are very proud and often try to bring down other students You will not find a muggleborn Dragon.
Since the school began many students have come and gone and now it is your turn to enter through the oak doors. Do you have what it takes to graduate?
