Pulling her jacket closer to herself Cho continued to walk down the busy street. It was late afternoon, the time when Diagon Alley was usually at its busiest. Today was no exception to that. It seemed that everyone that needed to do shopping had picked the exact same time to do it. She was guessing that was because people's lunch breaks or regular breaks were about the same time. Either way, the streets were still crowded.
The only reason Cho had come to Diagon Alley today was to get a new wand. Her old one had been damaged beyond repair, result of a potion gone horribly wrong. Seeing as she didn't feel like going wand-less for too long she came on her first day off, which happened to be today. Usually on her days off, which seemed to be even fewer now, she would just stay at home and relax. Or go somewhere else where it wasn't so terribly crowded. But under the given circumstances, she made a needed exception.
Cho smiled softly as she watched a couple, not too far away, holding hands and walking with what appeared to be their child. Cho glanced around the street at all of the different people walking. If there was one thing she knew for sure it was that coming to Diagon Alley during the busiest time of day was a good way to see a variety of people. There was everyone from young couples to older, still in love couples, to little children and adults. It just seemed like there was such a big variety in one small place. Something which she found very interesting.
As she got closer to Olivander's Cho turned her gaze in front of herself again. She knew that looking around too long might result in her accidentally bumping into someone, something she didn't want to do. She continued walking, but slowed her pace when she got even closer. Before walking toward the door she took one more look around, just to see if she recognized any of the faces in the crowd, which off hand she didn't. Cho walked over to the door and sighed heavily when she saw the "Closed" side of the sign hanging up. "Must be his day off too." She muttered in slightly bitter tone before turning around.
Cho took one more look at the door and sighed again. She could hardly believe her luck. On her one day off, the day off she needed to use to go get a new wand after horribly destroying her own with a potion she probably shouldn't have been brewing, the shop was closed. Just my luck... She thought to herself before starting to walk again, without looking first. As she took a few steps she bumped into someone, making her take a few back to give her and the person she bumped into some space. "I'm so sorry." She said quietly before looking up at who it was she ran into.

Keiko laughed. What's the matter? Don't recognize me? She smiled at her cousin then hugged her. She looked up at teh sign in front of the door and sighed. Wand busted? She lookedat Cho and faced her So how are your parents?

Cho smiled and hugged Keiko back, then took a small step backwards. "As far as I know they're good. I haven't talked to them in a few days though." She said trying to remember when the last time she really talked to her parents was. She tried to keep in touch as much as she possibly could, but with picking up more hours at work and being out most of the time that didn't always seem to happen. She glanced around and then back at Keiko. "What about yours?"
Cho sighed quietly and nodded. "Yeah, but they don't seem to be open today and I have to work most of this week." She looked at the sign bitterly and shook her head slightly. She definitely had picked a rotton time to try and get a new wand. "Mine's damaged beyond repair, well beyond repair." Saying that Cho pulled out the largest part of her destroyed wand. The part she pulled out was charred and completely black, hardly recognizable for the wand she had before.
After showing it to Keiko she put it back in her pocket. "So, what're you doing here today?" She asked with a small smile before glancing around the street. She looked over all of the people walking from shop to shop. It was still crowded and seeming to get even more crowded. Something that was quite expected.

Keiko widened her eyes a bit at the sight of Cho's wand. What exactly happened to make it likte that? She said half laughing, Yeah, you really need this store don't you? She sighed when Cho asked about her parents Well, you know, they are living their seperate lives, it's tough. Dad is with his wife and mom's kinda just doing whatever muggles do in their spare time. I miss them, I havent seen them in a while either
Keiko looked aorund the ally where she and cho were standing. SHe started walking a bit and waited for Cho to catch up. I was just wandering, I don't really do a lot since I moved here form America you know, my sister is still there, with my aunt from my other side of the family. She goes to a Wizardry school over there, my old school. SHe sighed at the memories. THen turned back to Cho So what have you been oing then?

Cho sighed. "Just... a potion gone extremely wrong is all." She said quietly as she flushed. She had never been very good at making potions, the more difficult ones ended like this one. In a big explosive disaster. This time though her wand had broke in the process. "I'm still not very good with potions." She added with a light laugh as she caught up to Keiko who had started walking.
"When was the last time you talked to either of them?" She asked curiously. She figured that Keiko hadn't gotten to see much of them since she had moved. "How is she doing?" Cho asked, referring to her younger sister. It seemed like a while since she had seen Keiko and especially her younger sister. Living in different countries meant the most they usually did was write letters back and force and see the other occasionally. "Just working... basically. What about you?"

Keiko laughed, Yeah, I wasn't very good at potions either when I was in school She thought for a momment Neither was Suki come to think of it. Must run in the family Keiko laughed. ((Suki is Keiko's yonger sister))
Keiko thought or a momment to try to rembmer when she had last talked to her parents. Ever since her parents divorded, things had been weird trying to visit both of them without visiting one more than the other. About a month ago was when I last saw them, I think. Keiko couldn't believe it was that much time since she had talked to either of them SHe hadn't seen her step brother either. Keiko looked at Cho and said Suki is doing fine, she was really against me moving here, but she even hated the idea even more of herself moving here, so that's why she stayed behind. SHe smiled sadly remmbering her sister. It had been such a long time. Keiko had visited Englan every once in a while before she had moved here, so she and her dad wereent complete strangers or anything, but Keiko had been so caught up with unpacking and such that she hadn't been able to visit her sister, and her sister was also busy with school, so it was hard. Just been unpacking and settling down recently.

Cho laughed along and nodded. "Sadly I think you're right about that." She took out the same piece of her wand again and looked down at it, shaking her head slightly as she did so. "Don't think I've had an explosion this bad before. That'll teach me to do advance potions by myself." She said with another small laugh. Cho put the wand, or what was left, back in her pocket and looked up at Keiko.
"Maybe Suki will change her mind about England if she comes here during the summer, once the school year ends." She knew that was wishful thinking, but still wanted to believe that. She remembered being so happy to hear Keiko was moving out here, she liked the idea of having more family she was close to in the same country. "What year is she in now anyway?"
Cho glanced around the street again as she slowed her pace, almost forgetting that the two of them were still walking. Cho always liked looking around as she watched. Take in all of the sites there were to see. She nodded slightly, "If you need any help with unpacking just let me know." Cho offered with a small smile.

Keiko smiled at Cho and laughed when she agreed to their unfortunate family trait. Ah yes. The sad and horrible reality of it. SHe smiled again then frowned when Suki was brought up. I highly doubt it, Cho, she is stuck ont he idea of staying in america with her friends. She sighed and looked forward at the Alley and looked back at Cho She's going into 7th year. She's closer to you in age than me. It was wierd, Cho and Keiko were much closer than Cho and Suki, and Cho and Suki were closer in age. Suki was just the stubborn type, she always wanted things her way, and people always thought Keiko was much more easier to get along with. Suki mainly didn't try to get to know CHo because she was from England and Suki thpought all English people were overachieves and snobby. Keko hated to think of her sister this way, but it was true. SHe thought sadly of how much she and Suki had fought when they were little. SHe couldn't tell Cho what Suki thought of her. Keiko smiled at Cho for the thought. Thanks, but I'll manage. She appreciated Cho's thoughtfulness.

Cho nodded slightly in understanding of the fact Suki probably would never come to England. She didn't know why but Suki didn't seem to want to have anything to do with England or the people here, even her own family. Cho couldn't have but rolling her eyes at that thought. She and Suki had never gotten along because of that. They didn't really talk unless they had to, which was a situation that didn't occur very often. Cho had no idea what Suki thought of her and thought about asking Keiko many different times, but she knew Keiko wouldn't tell her. Keiko was too nice to tell her something that would probably hurt Cho's feelings, something that she really was grateful for, no matter how curious she was.
"Yeah, and even though we're so close in age we don't get along at all." She said with a small shrug. Not knowing Suki that well and having Suki not want to get to know her didn't bother her too much. She was just grateful that Keiko wasn't the same and that the two of them were so close. Half of the time she didn't know what she'd do without Keiko. She was the person that Cho always turned to when she was having a problem. Keiko had helped her cope with Cedric's death, something she still isn't over, and then helped her when her and Harry ended things. Cho definitely didn't know what she'd do without her.
Cho smiled and nodded. "Do you want to go somewhere instead of just standing here?" Cho looked around as she asked the question. The streets were filling up more quickly and they seemed to be somewhat in the way. Being bumped into or accidentally pushed around wasn't something Cho liked to have happen. She looked around before looking back at Keiko, waiting for her answer.

((It's oaky, I understand )
Cho shrugged at her question and looked in front of her to make sure she didn't trip or bump into something as they walked. "Not really sure." Cho said after a few minutes of silence. "There isn't anything that I really need to get." She tried to think of something she might need at home, or could possibly need in the near future. Nothing immediately came to mind, she had everything that she needed. And if there was something she would need it was something she could just get from Hogsmede after work or in her free time. Seeing as Hogsmede was close enough to her home, closer than Diagon Ally.
"Anything specific you need?" Cho looked over at Keiko and waited for her answer. She figured that if there was something Keiko needed then they could figure out which shop they should go to. [/blockquote]

Cho nodded and sighed. "Yeah, but they haven't been home for a few weeks now, so one of the employees is running the shop." Cho's parents often traveled and would leave the shop to one of the more trusted employees. Cho's mum once had asked her to take over while they left, but Cho refused. She gave her mum the reason that she just didn't have the time instead of her real reason. One she probably wouldn't have understood, one she wouldn't have blamed her for understanding.
"Doesn't stop her from telling me I should go buy an owl." She then added, rolling her eyes as she did. That was something that annoyed Cho about her mum. Her dad could've cared less how Cho communicated with them, but her mum insisted on Cho buying her own owl instead of using the post office ones.

Keiko laughed then shook her head smiling. Unbelievable. You and your mom... She thought of the relationship with her and her mom. Thye barely saw each other anymore, which was sad, but Keiko remembered feeling the same way towards her mom that Cho did at the momment.
Then remebering something, she turned to Cho and grabbed her arm with a huge smile on her face. I almost forgot, I'm applying tobe a teacher at Hogwarts! And head of Ravenclaw~! Though Keiko hadn't attended Hogwarts, ut another magical american school, she was on the house that was the equivilant of ravenclaw here. She was excited to be goin back to school... sorta...

Cho smiled and shrugged slightly. "Not my fault she's a bit of a control freak." She said jokingly, although it was sort of true. She knew her mum liked having things her own way, in order the way she saw them. Cho knew Keiko's mum was sort of the same way as hers though, so she was glad that she wasn't the only person who had a mum who was like that. She just wished hers did it less often.
"That's great Keiko! Did you already apply, or are you going to? And if you're going to when? Oh and what class are you going to teach when you get the job?" Cho asked excitedly, getting a little more excited with each of her questions. She knew that teaching was something Keiko had wanted to do for a long time now. Cho remembered her talking about it both in letters and the few times she use to see her in person. So she was getting so excited because she was really happy for her cousin.
